  • To provide a clearly defined and well supported focus for research activities to enhance national and global competitiveness for funding and recognition
  • To strengthen and promote excellence in teaching in the current aspects of biotechnology relevant to agriculture with a focus on high quality Postgraduate education and professional training.
  • To facilitate the dissemination of information to end-users in Agriculture through e-informatics, publications, consultancies and training.
  • To publish in journals, monographs and books of high impact and international repute
  • To develop new and novel value added products, processes, platform technologies and patents
  • To sustain ably exploit Malaysia’s diverse natural agricultural biodiversity
